Who can organize a European Doctoral Day event?
Any interested institution — universities, doctoral schools, research centers, student or scientific associations, etc. — may submit a project.
The institution must register through the dedicated platform and sign the Event Charter via its legal representative or an authorized delegate.
What is the deadline for submitting an event proposal?
You must register before February 15th 2026.
Events must take place on May 13th (or close to this date), the official celebration day.
What types of events can be proposed?
Events can be onsite, hybrid, or online.
They can target various audiences: doctoral candidates, doctoral graduates, researchers, students, the general public…
Events must be free of charge, including access to the venue.
Is there funding provided for local events?
No direct financial support is provided. Institutions are responsible for covering the costs associated with their events. However, free communication materials and visual identity assets are provided to support promotion.
What information is required when registering an event?
The signed Event Charter (signed by the legal representative or an authorized delegate).
The details requested on the registration platform: institution name, logo, URl of your event, event format, project description, target audience, date/time, venue (or online format), etc.
The graphic charter and logo files must be downloaded and respected.
How long does it take to receive validation from the Coordination Committee?
After submitting your event proposal and the signed Event Charter, the Coordination Committee typically reviews the submission within a few days. You will receive an official confirmation by email as soon as the event is validated. Processing time may vary depending on the number of submissions received..
Can multiple institutions co-organize a single event?
Yes. Co-organization between universities, research institutions, doctoral schools, or associations is encouraged. In such cases, the partners must clearly indicate the main coordinating institution during registration..
